Getting started with Caboodle

Set up the connector once. After that, everything is just asking Caboodle in plain language, right inside the chat you already use.

1

Add the Caboodle connector

A one-time setup. Add the connector to the tool you already use, sign in once, and your packs show up right inside the chat — nothing else to install.

That’s the only setup. Everything below is a real example you can copy — just ask Caboodle from your chat.

2

Create a pack

Turn something you’ve already written into a shareable pack — just tell Caboodle what to bundle.

Your chat
Caboodle, make a pack from the brand voice guide I just pasted.
Caboodle
Created the Brand Voice pack in your Caboodle. It’s private to you for now — want to share it with anyone?
3

Share a pack

Hand a pack to a whole team or community in one message. Everyone you name gets it automatically.

Your chat
Share the Brand Voice pack with the marketing team.
Caboodle
What are the emails of the people from the marketing team you’d like me to share Brand Voice with? Would you like them all to have guest user permissions for now? Once you give me their details, I’ll send the invites.
4

Set permissions

Decide who can use a pack and who can change it — person by person, in plain words.

Your chat
Let Priya edit Brand Voice, but keep everyone else read-only.
Caboodle
Done — Priya is now an Editor. Everyone else in Marketing stays a User, so they can use the pack but not change it.
5

Use a pack

Anyone you’ve shared with just asks for a pack by name. Caboodle loads it and works in that context.

Your chat
Use the Brand Voice pack to draft the v4 release note.
Caboodle
Loaded the Brand Voice pack. Here’s a release note in that voice — short, confident, no emojis, one clear call to action.

Still have a question?

We’re happy to help you get your first pack shared.
